31 Days of Self Love: My Super Powers

31 Days of Self Love

Day 25: What things are you really really good at?

I have the good fortune of being one of those people for whom so many things have come easy when learning. And because of that I try very hard to be grateful for the fact that this is the case. I do not take it for granted and know that as I age, it is likely to become much harder and be a new experience.

To that end, I am really really good at a few things:

  • Reading fast
  • Understanding technical problems and finding solutions
  • Making decisions
  • Reading a room…including know who in the room needs convincing, who is on board, and who is a lost cause
  • Listening
  • Mixing Cosmopolitans
  • Making people feel comfortable to tell me what’s on their mind
  • Creating the right energy to move things forward
  • Writing really great sentences
  • Making homemade cheesecake
  • Writing user stories…though I haven’t done this in about 2 years so maybe I’m rusty
  • Easing tension with humor
  • Being vulnerable
  • Making my loved ones feels loved and valued
