Personal perspectives on faith, literature, and life.

I’m so grateful for the fact that I did not break my leg or ankle or tear an ACH or anything when I fell down the stairs today. Instead, I am suffering with slow-walking and some discomfort. I don’t love either of those..but it’s better than a gd cast or surgery.

Peanut Butter Smoothies

I’m grateful for a chocolate peanut butter smoothie made entirely of healthy and veg ingredients.

I’m grateful for my favorite needler at West Seattle Community Acupuncture. She is so sweet and efficient and good. She listened as I told her that I had new pain tonight from falling down stairs. She was sympathetic, adjusted her needle placement on the fly, and told me that she thought I was radiating a lot of healing heat. She also stopped at one point and said “Oh my goodness! We have the same birthmark on our left palm. That is so rare. I always think it’s a sign of a lovely person!” She’s lovely and I’m grateful. (And PS…I did feel better after leaving the practice!)
