The writing is beautiful. The storytelling is engaging. And what I learned what significant. Also just for the chapter on the Jollof wars, it is worth it.
I wish my dad was alive so we could argue about some of this…as a white missionary I could make him furious by accusing him of being “the great white hope” and yet, I always walked away from our conversations with more to think about.
Thank you again @heidicampher for buying me this book!! And now I have a new literary crush on @dipofal …and he better hope I don’t run into him in London or I might embarrass us both with too much gushing praise.
