I know I read this as a young girl but I didn’t remember much more than the basic story. What I didn’t know when I picked it up is that this tenacious girl is what I needed to be reminded of. Anne makes a lot of mistakes and owns them. She sometimes cannot shut up and has so many words to use…and other times can’t find a word to speak. She is deeply driven by imagination and emotion. And she loves others deeply and with total abandon…but can hold a grudge out of pure stubbornness. I know her. She is me. Thank you L.M. Montgomery for Anne. So many of us needed her.
