Say what you will, this is a pretty open look at himself and his life. He doesn’t hide drinking, drugs, mental illness, and shitty choices. But he also doesn’t hide being made to feel like “the spare” by his dad and brother. Does he sound spoiled and privileged? Yes. But mostly he sounds like a man coming to terms with losing his mother so publicly as a 12 year old little boy. He is equal measure heartsick over his family and lovesick for Meghan and his kids. He’s flawed, funny, and human.
