his book messed with me. Martha Beck has a way of asking questions that make you first toss the book and say “fuck you Martha” and then pick it back up and dig in. The right blend of kindness, humor, tough love, mysticism (aka woo woo), and challenge. Ultimately it all comes down to: “Know what you really know, feel what you really feel, say what you really mean, and do what you really want.” I’ll be back for another round with this one. For now I’m just sitting with it.
