Writers and Lovers

Another recommendation from the amazing Anne Patchett at Parnassus Books in Nashville. She mentioned this book more than once, so I felt it was a necessity not a choice.

It played out like a movie in my head. I can imagine there will be a beloved Hollywood version of this one day and I’ll keep who the actors in my head are to myself so as not to ruin your use of imagination when you read it. King’s novel was easy, funny, and warm. The main character was relatable and struggling with the anxiety that many of us are feeling these days.

My favorite line: “There is a particular feeling in your body when something goes right after a long time of things going wrong. It feels warm and sweet and loose.”
